The 10th ATA Convention will be held in Prudential Center, Newark, New Jersey from 03-Jul-08 to 05-Jul-08.

Chief Guests: The ATA team has initiated plans to invite the Hon'ble Chief Minster of Andhra Pradesh, Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy Garu, and the Hon'ble President of USA, Mr. George W. Bush.

అమెరికా తెలుగు సంఘం(ఆటా): అమెరికాలో తెలుగు సంతతి ప్రజల కోసం స్థాపించిన సంఘం .తెలుగు సాహితీ, సంస్కృతి, విద్య, ధార్మిక, సాంఘిక, ఆరోగ్య, సామాజిక కార్యకలాపాలను చేపడుతూ వివిధ స్థాయిలో తన వంతు సేవలు అందిస్తోంది. అమెరికాలో తెలుగు సంతతి ప్రజల కోసం స్థాపించిన ఈ సంఘం విదేశాల్లోనూ తెలుగు ఖ్యాతిని పరిరక్షించేందుకు పని చేస్తోంది.

అమెరికా తెలుగు సంఘం(ఆటా)- సదస్సు: అమెరికా, భారత్ లలోని తెలుగు సంతతి విద్యార్థులు, శాస్త్రవేత్తలు, వృత్తి విద్యా నిపుణులు కలసి అభిప్రాయాలు పంచుకునేలా సదస్సులు నిర్వహిస్తోంది. అమెరికాలో నిర్వహించే కార్యక్రమాలకు తెలుగు పండితులు, కళాకారులు, వృత్తి కళాకారులు, రాజకీయ నేతలను రప్పించి, వారిచే ఉపన్యాసాలు, ప్రదర్శనలు ఇప్పిస్తోంది.

ఆటా రొజు: అమెరికాలో తరచూ తెలుగు సాహితీ, విద్యా, యువజన, సాంస్కృతిక సదస్సులు నిర్వహిస్తూ తెలుగు వారిని ఒకే వేదికపైకి తీసుకువస్తోంది.

అమెరికా భారతి: అమెరికా భారతి పేరుతో ప్రత్యేక పత్రికను కూడా ఈ సంఘం నిర్వహిస్తోంది.

ఆటా సేవలు:

1. ధార్మిక, సాంస్కృతిక, ఆధ్యాత్మిక, విద్యా రంగాలకు సంబంధించిన కార్యకలాపాల్లో స్వయంగా కానీ ఇతర స్వచ్ఛంద సేవా సంస్థలతో కలసి పాలు పంచుకుంటోంది.

2. అమెరికాలో స్థిరపడేందుకై కొత్తగా వస్తున్న వారికి అండగా నిలుస్తోంది.

3. ప్రధాన సమాజంలో కలిసే క్రమంలో తెలుగు వారు ఎదుర్కుంటున్న సమస్యలను దేశాల కతీతంగా వాదిస్తూ వారికి న్యాయం చేకూరేలా ప్రయత్నాలు చేస్తోంది.

4. ఈ సంఘం పరిధిలో మహిళా ఫోరం, యూత్ ఫోరంలు కూడా ఉన్నాయి.

5. గ్రామ దత్తత (అడాప్ట్ ఎ విలేజ్): కార్యక్రమం కింద మాతృదేశంలోని కొన్ని గ్రామాలను దత్తత తీసుకుని అక్కడ కమ్యూనికేషన్లు, వ్యవసాయం, ఆరోగ్యం, రోడ్లు, తాగునీరు, పారిశుద్య వసతుల కల్పన, పాఠశాలల అభివృద్ధి, ఆధ్యాత్మిక కార్యక్రమాల నిర్వాహణ వంటి చర్యలు చేపడుతోంది. అలాగే కమ్యూనిటీ సర్వీస్ ప్రాజెక్టు కింద ఫ్లోరోసిస్, హెచ్ఐవీ, ఎయిడ్స్, విద్యాదానం వంటి వాటిని కూడా చేపడుతోంది.

ATA 2008 Theme: “Telugu Thalliki Haaram, Dasamavatharam, Yuvatharaniki Dwaram” (Salutation to Mother Telugu, with ATA 10th appearance and giving way to the next generation).

ATA cricket tournament 2008 in Los Angeles



American Telugu Association (ATA) a non-profit organization in USA assists and promotes literary,Cultural, educational, religious, social, economic, health and community activities of the people of Telugu origin between the United States of America, Canada and India and other countries.

ATA West coast wing, currently being headed by Mr.Natraj Madireddy (local coordinator for California, Arizona & Hawaii region) planned to conduct ATA Roju (ATA Day) on Saturday 23rd February 2008 in Los Angeles CA, as an announcement for the upcoming 10th ATA Conference & Youth Convention that is being held on July 3rd, 4rd & 5th 2008 at Prudential Center, Newark, New Jersey. As part of this ATA roju, various cultural & sports activities are being held to create awareness of ATA's objectives among the Telugu community. The event also puts an overall effort to create awareness of the membership privileges and benefits.


As part of the sports activity, ATA is conducting 'ATA cricket tournament 2008' in Los Angeles on January 2008. All participating teams are requested to contact the following contacts listed below. The Tournament registration will be officially closed on January 20th 2008. More details on the tournament Format and tournament scheduled DATE will be updated after the registration deadline. The winners will be awarded certificates & trophies on 'ATA roju' by prominent members of ATA and celebrities from USA & INDIA. Entry fee for this tournament is FREE, so please join us for a fun-filled and exciting event.
